Journals posted today
What you get
A ledger, not a list of totals
A chart of accounts
Assets, liabilities, income, expenses and equity, ready to use on day one and yours to rename or extend.
Journals posted automatically
A sale, a refund, an expense, a stock adjustment or a supplier bill writes its own journal entry as it happens, both sides every time.
Trial balance that balances
See debits and credits agree at any date, and open the entries behind any line to find out why a figure is what it is.
Opening balances
Start mid-year without losing history: enter what each account was worth on the day you began and the books carry on from there.
Close a period and lock it
Once a month is agreed, lock it. Nothing can be backdated into a closed period behind your back.
Statements you can hand over
Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow, built from the ledger rather than assembled by hand.

Questions we get asked
Is this real double-entry accounting?
Yes. Every posting has a debit and a credit, the trial balance has to agree, and you can open any journal entry and see the document it came from.
Do I have to post entries myself?
No. Sales, refunds, expenses, supplier bills and stock movements post themselves as they happen. You can still write a manual journal when you need one.
Can I start part-way through a year?
Yes. Enter opening balances for each account as at your start date and the ledger continues from there, so you do not have to re-enter a year of history.
Can I stop staff changing last month's figures?
Yes. Close the period and it locks. Nothing can be posted into it afterwards without reopening it deliberately.
