Questions we get asked
Do I need to buy a POS terminal?
No. A laptop or phone with a browser is enough to start. Add a USB barcode scanner and a thermal printer when the queue justifies it — or use a spare phone as the scanner and a second monitor as the customer display.
What happens when the internet drops mid-sale?
On the desktop app, nothing changes for the cashier. Sales, held sales, refunds and dispatches write to a local database and queue. When the connection returns the queue drains in order, and because every offline sale carries its own ID a replayed sale is still one sale.
Can two cashiers work at once?
Yes. Each cashier opens their own session on their own machine, and the open-session policy is set per location. You can also invite staff to sell from their own phones during a busy hour — those sales land on your session.
Does it handle part payments?
Yes. Take what the customer has now and the balance becomes an invoice on the receivables page, so you can chase it without a separate notebook.
Can I send the receipt to the customer on WhatsApp?
Yes. After the sale, send the receipt by WhatsApp, SMS or email as a link the customer opens on their phone, with your own branding on it. WhatsApp receipts are included on every paid plan, so the customer gets the receipt in the app they already use instead of a slip that ends up in the bin.
