Setting up your first POS terminal

POS setup

Hardware

• Computer, tablet, or desktop app
• Optional receipt printer, barcode scanner, and cash drawer
• Customer display screen (optional second monitor route)

Configure POS

1. Open Settings → POS for receipts, hardware, and checkout defaults.
2. Connect Paystack payout details under Settings → Organization before offering card, MoMo, or bank pay.
3. Start a session under POS → Session when you track opening/closing cash.
4. Run a test sale on POS → New Sale.

Payment methods at checkout

• Cash — instant completion
• Card / MoMo / Bank — Paystack modal; sale finalizes after successful charge
• Split tender — combine methods; each online line runs through Paystack sequentially
